Helping out rescue dogs with ASAP

Updated: Dec 9, 2018

We spent a week under the Spanish sun working closely together with the wonderful charity organisation called ASAP. I have never been kissed, cuddled and drooled on so much as in these five days and my happiness level spiked. These dogs deserve a happy ending, and I'm positive these sweethearts will get one.

ASAP? Never heard of it?

It's a small organisation based around Granada in Spain. They are saving street dogs from starvation and neglect and fostering them until they find a forever home. Two key members of the organisation are Els and Annick, both Belgian women living in

Spain and devoting their life to rescuing dogs.

A week filled with dogs

Together with a close friend called Margaux we visited and lived with Els for a week. She taught us how to feed and take care of the dogs. We spent the week doing little chores, cuddling the puppies, washing dogs, walking and so much more. For us it feels like a vacation to dog paradise but for the animals it is important to socialize and learn how to be around other people.

Margaux is an enormous animal lover and became a flight attendee for ASAP. This means that after our visit she accompanied some dogs on a plane from Spain to their forever home. She flew home with five adorable 16 week old puppies.

Have you met Camilla?

Camilla is the beautiful dog you can see on the cover of this blog post. She loved to pose for pictures and listened perfectly when we called her name. She enjoys attention and is happiest when you take her out for long walks. When Danté threw her tennis ball she brought it back to him so that he could throw again! Camilla is looking for a forever home, are you looking for a new best friend?

Have you met Luna?

Being one of the first dogs to be saved by ASAP, she's been there for almost 4 years. She has a calm personality and adores to be cuddled. The funny thing about her is that if you get really crazy she plays along! This black beauty would make a perfect future pet!

Adopt a dog!

So many sweeties are looking for a new home. Check out the website too see which one matches with you. Curious why you should adopt instead of shop? We listed the five most important reasons.

Become a foster parent

If you foster one of their current rescue dogs, then that means that you will take care of him while he is waiting for his forever home. You will be teaching him how to live in a home and you would be releasing an extra space for ASAP to take on another dog. Currently Margaux is sitting next to me with an adorable black foster puppy!
